Full description:

"Running for 220 metres in a north-easterly direction this dyke is constructed for the most part in turf, with the exception of a section of 50 metres near its west end where it crosses a low ridge and is faced with drystone and stands up to 0.8 metres high. Commencing in the west from the edge of an unnamed burn that feeds into the east end of Loch Dubh it terminates in the east at NB 29794 19186 where it meets dyke 1.8. The ditch that runs along the south face of dyke 1.8 continues west along the south face of this dyke, for its entire length, before issuing in to the unnamed burn at its west end." Part of: "Stock grazing management field system; probably relating to pre-crofting or early crofting period summer grazing, consisting of a series of turf walls with some stone reinforcements around gateways and where the walls run across areas of bedrock."
