76447: ‘House 3’ Lamerick

This cottar’s house was, from the 1850s, the home of Mary MacAskill, whose sister Betsy lived next door, at ‘house 2’. Following Mary’s death, the house passed to Betsy’s son Roderick MacKinnon and then to his daughter Rachel. She passed away in 1965 and the house became the home of Finlay Neil Campbell and his wife Mary.

This property is referred to as ‘house 3’ in the croft history of the area.
