73331: 16a Tolsta Chaolais

The first tenant of 16 Tolsta Chaolais was John Maclennan (1785-1845) from Tolsta Chaolais. In the 1860’s, Malcolm Mackay from Garynahine took part of the croft (16a Tolsta Chaolais) and the remainder went to widow Rachel Maclennan and her son Donald (16b Tolsta Chaolais)

Croft 16a passed to Malcolm’s son Duncan (b1869), to his daughter Margaret and then to Margaret’s son John.
