70356: 18b Tolsta Chaolais

Croft 18 Tolsta Chaolais was first tenanted by Angus Macphail (1814-1903), 33 Upper Carloway.  In the 1880’s, Angus split the croft with his son-in-law, Donald Macleod (18b Tolsta Chaolais).  18 Tolsta Chaolais was sold and became croft 18a Tolsta Chaolais.  Croft 18b was sold initially to Angus Macdonald, 12 Knock Carloway and later to Alexander Macritchie, 25 Garenin.
