12 Borve, Berneray
12 Borve, Berneray
12 Borve was created in 1900, when the Congested Districts Board for Scotland persuaded the South Harris Estate to break up Borve Farm and re-allocate the land as crofts.
Croft 12 was allotted to Donald MacKillop and it later passed to his son John. Following John's death his wife Ann became tenant. Following her death in 1939 the croft passed to Hector MacKinnon who worked the land, but continued to live at Ferry.
