5 Cromore

The hill on which this croft is situated is called "Cnoc an Tigh Mhor" (The Hill of the Big House) and it is a local tradition that an important person lived in a big house on the hill at one time. His name was said to be "Ailtean" and nearby there is a well which to this day is called "tobair Ailtean". There is no record as to who "Ailtean" was.

There is the ruin of a garden called "Leis an Teambuill", (the Garden of the Temple) on this croft; The history of this Temple is lost in the mists of time and there is no record as to when it existed or who worshipped there. see
