No.1 Kirkibost is located at the north end of the village. It is bounded on the north and west by the Kirkibost moor and on the south by No.2. The sea is to the east. The first tenant after the resettlement of Kirkibost in 1878 was Angus Macarthur. This is the site of one of the settlements of 'clustered houses' when the agricultural system was runrig. The croft is a free gift tenancy.
