23100: HMS Victorious

HMS Victorious was built by Vickers Armstrong, Newcastle. Laid down 4 May 1937, she was launched on 14 September 1939 and commissioned 15 May 1941. She encountered and attacked the Bismarck just nine days later, and subsequently served mostly in the Pacific, participating in many battles including that at Okinawa. She was eventually decomissioned in 1968.
