SS Baron Blythswood was a Cargo Steamship built by Lithgows Ltd, Glasgow in 1929 for Hugh Hogarth & Sons, Glasgow.

On September 21, 1940, on passage Halifax to Port Talbot, the SS Blythswood was torpedoed and sunk with the loss of 34 lives.
