The SS Antiope was a Steam Cargo Ship built by Bartram & Sons Ltd, Sunderland in 1904 for Pyman Brothers, London.
She was sold and renamed the SS Cragside 1904- 1916, Antiope 1916-1926, SS Mortlake 1926-1933, SS Valdona 1933-1941, SS Memmeland 1941-1941 and SS Baltenland 1941-1944.
The ship was torpedoed by a Russian Submarine near Stolpmunde on December 24, 1944.
