119870: HMS Dumana

HMS Dumana was a Motor Cargo Vessel used as a Seaplane Tender at the time of her loss.

She was built by Barclay, Curle and Company, Whiteinch as a Motor Passenger Ship. On December 24, 1943, she was en-route from Port Etienne to Takoradi via Freetown carrying 300 Tons of RAF Stores and 22 RAF personell, she was torpedoed by a German Submarine and sunk.  39 lost their lives from a complement of 169.
