13516: George Boyd
George Boyd (1824-1905), son of Thomas Boyd and Elizabeth Haskell, Suffolk was educated at the Grammar School, Cromarty and graduated MA from Aberdeen University in 1851. He taught in Keose and was also the first Registrar of the Parish of Lochs in 1855. He was licensed by the Presbytery of Lewis that same year. He emigrated to Canada and was ordained minister of St Andrews, Halifax, Nova Scotia in 1856. He returned to Scotland in 1865 and was appointed assistant Minister at the Toolbooth, Edinburgh. He moved to Restalrig Mission in 1870 where he remained until he retired in 1903.
