John Campbell of Scalpay was the forester of Harris in the late 17th century. He once fought with Iain Ruadh, John Macaulay of Valtos, and came off the worse for it.

John was married to Mary Maclennan, daughter of John Maclennan (Iain mac Ruaraidh Chleirich), tacksman of Kirkibost.
