60495: Marriage of Angus Macdonald and Mary Gillies

Friday, April 25, 1943

The marriage took place on April 8th in the Church of Scotland Mission House of Angus MacDonald, son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Donald MacDonald, 1 Geshader, and Mary Gillies, daughter of Mr and & Mrs. John Gillies, 9 Carishader. The Rev. Norman MacLeod, Uigean, officiated. The bride was attended by her sister Isabella, and the duties of the best man were performed by Mr. Peter MacDonald, a brother of the groom. After the ceremony a reception was held in the bride’s home and an enjoyable evening was spent by the large number of guests who were present. Numerous congratulatory telegrams were read and we wish the young couple slainte ‘s saoghal fada, beannachd dhaoine ‘s chlionn.
