9010: The Highland News

The Highland News is an Inverness-based weekly newspaper, first published in 1883 as The Highland News: The Organ of the Highland Temperance League. Two years later it abandoned its affiliation with the Temperance League. In 1969 it merged with The Northern Chronicle and was known briefly as The Highland News and Northern Chronicle.
