95466: John Murray

John (1848-1934) was the son of John Murray and Mary Nicolson, it is not known where the family were living at the time of his birth, but it is likely they were cottars at 13 Old South Tolsta, which was John’s parents croft.

In 1850, during the croft relottings, the family became cottars at 29 North Tolsta, which was John’s parents croft.

In 1855 the family emigrated to Whitton, in the Eastern Townships of Quebec.

John married Christina Campbell, of Quebec (with an association to South Dell).
