Murdo Gunn had links to South Dell, but it is not certain he ever lived there himself.

Murdo was living in Quebec when he met and married Catherine Macdonald, of Lake Megantic, with issue. Catherine's family had emigrated, from the cottar's house at 37 North Tolsta, to Lake Megantic, prior to her birth.
