Murdo Mackay, of Ontario, married Mary Macleod, of Huron Township, Ontario. Mary had emigrated from 32 North Tolsta in 1853. Murdo also had links to the Isle of Lewis, in his case Earshader, but it is not known if he ever lived there himself.
