95317: Catherine Mackenzie

Catherine (born 1820) was the daughter of Murdo Mackenzie and Margaret Macrae; it is not known where the family were living at the time of her birth.

In 1833 the family obtained 8 Old South Tolsta and settled there. They left to become cottars in Old Back the following year.

In 1851 her parents obtained 46 Back and settled there.

Catherine married Norman Mackenzie, of 3 Back, and the couple settled at 3 Back and had four daughters: Catherine, Marion, Christina and Margaret.

In 1863 the family emigrated to the Eastern Townships of Quebec.
