Catherine Macdonald (1781-1853) married John Macdonald of Cuilatotair and settled there with him. The couple had seven children.
Catherine was widowed in 1830. That same year her eldest son obtained 1 Old North Tolsta as a newly lotted croft; it is not clear if Catherine stayed in Cuilatotair after being widowed or if she settled with one of her children.
