951: Catherine Smith
Catherine, born 1844, was a daughter of Murdo Smith and Margaret Macinnes of 1 Earshader. Catherine emigrated to Canada where she worked as a housekeeper for her cousin John Smith who had emigrated from 2 Earshader.
According to oral traditions, when they died they left 60 to 1 Earshader, 60 to a sister in Leurbost, 60 to 3 Earshader, which was used to start building the present home, and 4 Earshader received the family Bible.
