Donald Macinnes

Donald (1912-1940) was the son of John Macinnes and Lily Mackay, of 2 Hill Street, North Tolsta.

In 1922 the family obtained 4 Gress as a newly lotted croft.

Donald served with the Merchant Navy during the Second World War; he contracted an illness while sailing off the coast of Africa and was admitted to hospital upon arrival in Liverpool where he died, aged 27.
