William (1939-2011) was the son of John Maciver and Christina Mackay, of The Shieling, North Tolsta.
Sometime in or after 1946, after the deaths of both his maternal aunt and her husband, the family moved to 2 School Road, North Tolsta.
William married a woman from Edinburgh and settled there with her.
