Annie was the daughter of Allan Macleod and Peggy Murray; it is not certain where she was born.
In 1924 her family obtained 32 South Galson as a newly lotted croft.
Annie married Angus Macleod, of 82 School Road, North Tolsta, and the couple settled in Stornoway.
