93854: Alexander Mackay
Alexander (1861-1925) was the son of Malcolm Mackay and Isabella Macrae; the family were cottars at 44 North Tolsta.
In 1876 Alexander's mother died and shortly after his father married Annabella Mackenzie.
At some point the family moved to Stornoway, but it is not clear if Alexander was still living in the parental home at this time.
Alexander married Anne Murray, of 43 Swainbost, and the couple settled at 43 Swainbost.
Alexander was widowed.
Alexander married Henrietta Macleod, of 5 Adabrock, but it is not known where the couple settled.
Alexander was widowed again.
At Stornoway, in 1918 he married Ann Macleod, a widow, from Stornoway and formerly of 11 Garyvard.
Alexander and Ann emigrated to Australia.
