93362: Effie Macdonald

Effie (born 1884) was the daughter of Allan Macdonald and Christina Maclean of 67a North Tolsta.

Effie married John Murray, of 52 North Tolsta, and the couple settled at 52 North Tolsta and had two sons.

In 1920 Effie was widowed and 52 North Tolsta passed to her brother-in-law. She continued to live on the croft in a house sometimes referred to as 52b.

During World War Two her son Donald was killed in action in North Africa.

At some point Effie moved to Keith St, Stornoway.
