93361: John Murray

John (1883-1920) was the son of Donald Murray and Margaret Nicolson of 52 North Tolsta.

John’s father died in 1906 and his mother in 1915. At some point he inherited 52 North Tolsta

John married Effie Macdonald, of 67a North Tolsta, and the couple settled at 52 North Tolsta and had two sons. John’s youngest son, Allan, was born the year of his death.

After John’s death his widow and children continued to live at 52 North Tolsta, their house is sometimes referred to as 52b to distinguish it from the house 52a that John’s brother-in-law settled at. 52 North Tolsta passed to his brother-in-law: Angus Smith.
