93258: Annie Mackay
Annie (1849-1921) was the daughter of Roderick Mackay and Christina Macdonald; it is not known where the family were living at the time of her birth. Her paternal grandparents were living at 16 Old North Tolsta and her maternal grandparents at Melbost, Borve.
In 1857 the family obtained 50 North Tolsta as a newly lotted croft.
Annie had a daughter, Mary, and continued living with her parents.
Annie married John Mackenzie, of Kishorn, and the couple settled as cottars at 50 North Tolsta. At some point they moved to Stornoway.
The couple had four sons, the last of whom died in infancy.
