Donald (1851-1930) was the son of Murdo Macdonald and Annie Murray of 1 Old North Tolsta.
In 1853 the family moved to 51 North Tolsta.
Donald married Christina Mackenzie of 48 North Tolsta and settled there with her. They had eight children together: five boys and three girls. 48 North Tolsta passed to him from his father-in-law: Donald Mackenzie.
In due course 48 North Tolsta passed to his son William.
