93152: Donald Campbell
Donald (1914-1988) was the son of Colin Campbell and Jessie Smith of 47 North Tolsta.
Donald’s father died in 1916 while serving with the Royal Naval Reserve.
On the 5th of August 1918 his older brother, John, was serving aboard ship with the Merchant Navy and was fatally injured.
On the 16th of March 1921, during The Great Gale, the roof was blown off the family home. His brother Angus was lying in bed seriously ill at the time and his bedding was also blown away. Angus was moved first to the barn and then the nearest house; he died later that year.
Donald was a haemophiliac; he did not marry.
