93149: Isabella Campbell

Isabella (born 1902) was the daughter of Colin Campbell and Jessie Smith of 47 North Tolsta.

Isabella’s father was washed overboard and drowned while serving with the Royal Navy in 1916.

In 1918 her elder brother John was fatally injured while serving with the Merchant Navy.

On the 16th of March 1921, during The Great Gale, the roof was blown off the family home. Her brother Angus was lying in bed seriously ill at the time and his bedding was also blown away. He was moved first to the barn and then the nearest house; he died later that year.

Isabella had a daughter in 1937.
