92974: Margaret Macdonald

Margaret Macdonald (1771-1853) was born at a location which is not known to parents who are not known.

Margaret married John Martin and the couple had six children, three sons and three daughters, between 1785 and 1800. It is not known where the family were living at this time. Between 1802 and 1810 four of their children died in late childhood.

In 1820 John’s name appears on the Old South Tolsta Tack subtenant list.

In 1830, during the croft lottings, the couple obtained 3 Old South Tolsta.

In 1851, during the croft relottings, the couple obtained 43 North Tolsta.

In 1853 43 North Tolsta passed to the couple’s son-in-law, John Gunn.
