92737: Annie Mackenzie

Annie (born 1907) was the daughter of John Mackenzie and Christina Murray, of 37 North Tolsta.

Annie became a teacher and worked in Lionel, Ness.

In January 1941 she took employment with the Lewis School Management Committee and worked at North Tolsta Junior and Secondary School. She retired in 1970 and received gifts from pupils. These events were both reported in the Stornoway Gazette District News.

Annie built a new bungalow and she lived there with her sister Isabella.

Annie never married.
