92681: Henrietta Macaskill

Henrietta (born 1821) was the daughter of Murdo Macaskill, of 27 Vatisker.

On the 15th of December 1870 Henrietta married, widower, Angus Macleod and settled with him at 36 North Tolsta. Angus had six adult children from his first marriage: Isabella, Donald, Margaret, Annabella, John and Murdo.

In 1873 the couple had a daughter, Anne, who died in infancy. Also that year the family emigrated to the Eastern Townships of Quebec. The sequence of these events is not known.

In 1880, the couple returned and settled at, the newly lotted croft, 77 North Tolsta.

In due course this passed to Henrietta’ stepson: John.
