John Morrison (1791-1853). It is not known where he was living at the time of his birth.

There is a John Morrison listed on the sub-tenants list of Old South Tolsta Tack in 1820. However, we cannot be certain it refers to this John Morrison: as two John Morrisons obtained crofts in Old South Tolsta in the 1830 croft lottings.

John married Christina Macleod, of Knockaird, Ness. It is not certain where they lived during their early marriage.

In 1830 Old South Tolsta Tack was broken up into crofts and the couple obtained 7 Old South Tolsta.

In the 1851 croft relottings, the couple obtained 34 North Tolsta.

The couple had no children.

In 1853 the couple gave up the croft, but stayed in North Tolsta as cottars. 34 North Tolsta passed to Murdo Macleod.
