John (1880-1949) was the son of John Morrison and Isabella Macleod, of 31 North Tolsta.
John married Christina Murray, of 45 North Tolsta, and the couple settled at 84 School Road. The couple had seven children at this address.
In 1922, when Gress was lotted, the family obtained 34 Gress as a newly lotted croft. 84 School Road passed to Christina Smith.
The couple had a daughter, Catherine, at the end of 1922, in North Tolsta and a further two children later. In total they had nine children: five boys and four girls.
