Elizabeth (1854-1905) was the daughter of Donald Macleod and Mary Maclennan. The family were living at 36 North Tolsta with her uncle Angus at the time of her birth.
In 1857 the family obtained 58 North Tolsta as a newly lotted croft.
Elizabeth married John Smith of 24 North Tolsta and settled there with him. The couple had thirteen children: five girls and eight boys.
