92060: Ann Morrison

Ann (1828-1886) was the daughter of Donald Morrison and Mary Graham of Old South Tolsta Tack.

In 1830, during the croft lottings, the family obtained 19 Old North Tolsta.

In 1854, after Old North Tolsta was cleared to make way for Tolsta Farm, the family obtained 46 North Tolsta.

Ann married Colin Smith, of 24 North Tolsta, and, in 1857, the couple obtained 65 North Tolsta as a newly lotted croft. They had six children: four boys and six girls.

In 1864 the couple’s second son John died in early childhood.

In due course 65 North Tolsta passed to their third son John.
