Kenneth (1840-1913) was the son of Alexander Maciver and Isabella Maciver of 23 Old South Tolsta. Kenneth's father died in 1845, but his mother obtained 14/15 North Tolsta in the 1851 croft relottings. 

In 1853 Kenneth's mother split the croft, retaining 14 North Tolsta. Kenneth inherited this in due course.

Kenneth married Christina Campbell of 54 North Tolsta and the couple settled at 14 North Tolsta and had seven children: four  boys and three girls.
