Bess (1880-1947) was a daughter of Donald Mackenzie and Effie Macritchie, 19b Cromore.
At Fraserburgh, in 1904, she married Neil Macritchie, 38 Gravir. Bess and Neil were Cottars at 38 Gravir where they had ten of their twelve children. In 1921 the family moved to 8 Orinsay.
