91159: Ann Murray
Ann (1836-1908) was the daughter of Murdo Murray and Gormelia Campbell of 2 Old North Tolsta. The family obtained 7 North Tolsta in the 1853 croft relottings.
Ann married Murdo Murray of 27 North Tolsta. It is not certain where the couple lived after they married, they may have been cottars at 27 North Tolsta, but this is not certain.
Their first child was born in 1859 and their last in 1879; in total they had eight children: five boys and three girls.
In 1884 Ann’s brother in-law emigrated to the Eastern Townships of Quebec and her husband inherited 27 North Tolsta: the family settled there.
Ann was widowed in 1898.
In due course 27 North Tolsta passed to her eldest son: Kenneth.
