892: Catherine Gillies
Catherine Gillies (1803-1882) was a daughter of Donald Gillies and Christina Macleod, 5 Old Orinsay.
In Lochs, in 1830, she married widower Alexander Morrison, Orinsay. Catherine and Alexander settled on 12 Old Orinsay and they had four children.
When Orinsay was cleared in 1843 the family moved to 22 Leurbost.
Catherine was widowed in 1873.
