John Matheson
John Matheson
John Matheson (1895-1950) was a son of Donald Matheson and Christina Macmillan, 30 Gravir.
At Stornoway, in 1927, he married Christina Macaskill, 17 Gravir. John and Christina settled at 30 Gravir and they had six children.
John was fisherman on the Handy and served in the First World War in the Cameron Highlanders. He was wounded several times and is mentioned in Loyal Lewis: Roll of Honour 1914-1918.
