Murdo MacQueen
Murdo was born in 1821, the son of Donald MacQueen and Ann MacKillop of Quay. His father died when Murdo was still a boy. By 1841 he was apprenticed as a tailor to his uncle Angus MacKillop. He moved to Stornoway with his uncle, and married Mary MacLeod.
