Mary Ann was the daughter of William MacMillan and Catherine Shaw of 22 Borve (Sandpoint). Born in 1900, she attended Berneray School from 1908.
Mary Ann married Lachlan MacKinnon of 1 Borve. They made their home at Greenhill in Backhill, Berneray, where they kept a shop. Following Mary Ann’s death the property passed to her nephew.
