Ann was born in 1821, the daughter of John Campbell and Mary MacLeod of Brusda. Ann continued to live in Brusda with her sisters Christina and Mary following her father’s emigration to Canada. Later she and sister Christina moved to Lamerick. Their nephews Donald and Ewen were staying with them at the time of the 1871 census. Ann worked as a general servant.
