Angus MacLeod

Angus MacLeod

Angus was born in 1850, the son of Roderick MacLeod and Christina MacLeod of old Borve, then 21/22 Ruisgarry (Ben Leva). In 1881 he was working as a general dealer.

Angus later emigrated to Manitoba, subsequently moving to Dakota Territory. He was a minister, eventually returning to Scotland, serving as a minister in Lismore.

His niece Flora MacCuish recalled his life in a recording that she made for the School of Scottish Studies sound archive, available here on the Tobar an Dualchais website.
