Jemima, or Mima, was the daughter of Roderick MacLeod and Christina MacAskill of 17 Ruisgarry (Brusda). Born in 1908, she was a pupil at Berneray School from 1914 to 1923. She married Malcolm MacLeod, with whom she was to have three children. They made their home at 18 Ruisgarry, which passed to her husband in 1954.
