Catherine, born in 1878, was the daughter of Malcolm Morrison and Effie Morrison of 17 Ruisgarry (Brusda) and later 3 Borve. She married Finlay MacInnes and they made their home at Berkeley Street, Glasgow with their four children, John, Angus, Rachel and Catherine. Her nephew, the bard John Archie MacAskill boarded with the family whilst serving as a constable with the City of Glasgow Police.
