75785: Catherine MacLeod

Catherine, born 1776, was the daughter of Angus MacLeod and Janet MacDermid. Catherine married John MacKillop, with whom she had at least nine children. They lived in Borve, at the site now known as Tobhta Iain ‘ic Bhàic. By 1851 she was a widow, but continued to farm in Borve until the crofts were cleared for Borve Farm. In 1854 she moved to Lamerick to live with her son Norman and stayed there until her death in 1863.
